Faculty Affiliates

Spring 2025 Alumni Breakfast

The Child Welfare Research Center (CWRC) is opening a call for faculty affiliates. Any full-time faculty member (postdoctoral researchers included) at UTA is eligible to apply. We will select up to three faculty affiliates per year, and affiliates can re-apply each year. Affiliates will have opportunities to network with child welfare researchers in the center and providers in the community, to have their work highlighted on the CWRC website, and to present at the annual Child Welfare Symposium hosted by the center. In addition, affiliates are eligible to apply for a professional development award (one awarded per year) that will fund up to $2,500 of costs to present their work at a conference as an CWRC affiliate. Please reach out with any questions to Dr. Catherine LaBrenz, [email protected]  or [email protected].

If you would like to apply, please click on the Faculty Affiliate button below to submit your application with the following information:

  1. Name/Position at UTA
  2. Recent CV that highlights any work that overlaps with child welfare
  3. Brief statement (500 words max) that details your interest in becoming a faculty affiliate with the CWRC

Faculty Affiliates

Faculty Affiliates will be able to engage with child welfare researchers at the center and with community providers, showcase their work on the CWRC website, and deliver presentations at the center’s annual Child Welfare Symposium.
