Yangjin Park
Dr. Yangjin Park is an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. His research, teaching, and service are deeply rooted in advancing the well-being of children, youth, and families, particularly those impacted by adversity, trauma, and systemic inequities. Since joining UTA in 2022, Dr. Park has conducted research on adolescent bullying, family resilience, and the behavioral health of military-connected children. His teaching portfolio at UTA includes Human Behavior in the Social Environment and Family Therapy, courses that engage students in critically examining how social structures and family dynamics shape child development and well-being. He also mentors doctoral and master’s students, supporting their research in child and family studies. Dr. Park is deeply committed to advancing evidence-based practices that strengthen families, prevent violence, and promote resilience across diverse communities. As a Child Welfare Research Center (CWRC) Faculty Affiliate, he will contribute his expertise in ecological frameworks, adolescent health, and family resilience to collaborative initiatives that generate actionable knowledge for child welfare systems.
