If your MavTemp is not the right fit within the first 48 hours, just let us know. We will promptly end the current assignment and find a replacement - at no extra cost to your department.

Every MavTemp receives a complimentary 7-day parking permit on their first day - valid in all Faculty/Staff parking areas across campus.

After the initial 7 days, it's up to the MavTemp to purchase a new permit based on their preferences. Options include daily, weekly, or monthly permits, all available through the UTA Parking and Transportation website.

 

Make sure to remind your MavTemp to log in and secure their permit to avoid any parking hiccups!

After your MavTemp is onboarded into UT Share and receives their NetID and Employee ID, they are eligible to get their official Mav ID! This can be picked up in person at the Mav ID office located at 45 Spaniolo Drive.

 

End of Assignment Reminder: Once the assignment ends, the MavTemp is required to return their Mav ID to the MavTemp Program.

MavTemp employees use TCP to clock in and out each day. It is their responsibility to ensure their time is entered accurately and on time every pay period.

As the manager, you will review, approve, or make any necessary adjustments to their time in TCP. Timely approval is essential to ensure your MavTemp gets paid on schedule.

 

Going to be out? Be sure to assign a proxy to approve time in your absence.

MavTemps are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit, based on the UTA Fiscal Year Semi-Monthly Deadlines and Paydays Schedule.

If you MavTemp is working remotely or from an alternate location, your department may provide the necessary supplies and equipment to support their job duties - if deemed appropriate.

Departments are responsible for tracking, distributing, and collecting all UTA-owned property at the start and end of the assignment.

Remote Work Agreements (RWAs) and any other flexible work documentation must be completed by the hiring manager and the MavTemp employee before remote work begins. All RWAs and associated documents must be sent to [email protected].

Reminder: All university equipment must be returned at the end of the assignment - it remains the property of UTA.

Just like regular employees, your MavTemp should give advanced notice for any planned time off that is not an emergency.

All time off is unpaid, whether it's for a doctor appointment, personal matter, or interviews.

With your approval, MavTemps may be allowed to make up missed hours to stay on track with their assignment.

Need to increase or reduce your MavTemp's hours? No problem!

Just coordinate the change directly with your MavTemp, then notify the MavTemp Recruiter so we can officially update the assignment details in our system.

MavTemp employees are not benefits-eligible through UTA.

However, they can explore independent coverage through the Healthcare Insurance Marketplace (also known as the Exchange), established under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The Marketplace offers various health plans with different coverage levels, premiums, and out-of-pocket costs.
