People and Culture Survey

The Initiative

The UTA People and Culture Survey is administered every two years to provide UTA employees with an opportunity to share their valuable insights and perspectives on workplace engagement, and UTA culture. By actively involving all employees, we gather comprehensive feedback to gain a deeper understanding of the current state of UTA.

On the years when we do not have the larger survey, we administer a smaller survey, called a Pulse Survey, to make sure that we are interpreting the results correctly and are on the right track!

PEOPLE AND CULTURE PULSE SURVEY

Coming Fall 2025, UTA is launching a People and Culture Pulse Survey, a set of around 12 questions to check the pulse of campus following our most recent Gallup Engagement Survey and the implementation of action plans across campus. With every survey, we share the survey results and invite employees to participate in action planning, since engagement is a shared responsibility.

KEY INFORMATION

  • All direct supervisors (with at least 5 survey respondents) will receive their employee engagement results, which provide a summary for their workgroup and area of the business.
  • Direct supervisors will be able to share the employee engagement results with their team and have an open discussion among team members about the employee engagement results and the team's plan for improvement.
  • Teams will collaboratively prioritize what action steps to take by completing an Engagement Action Plan.

CONFIDENTIALITY

We partnered with Gallup, a leading third party survey administrate to develop the survey based on Gallup's Q12 framework. This ensures all responses are confidential.

Gallup provides a minimum reporting threshold so that individual respondents cannot be identified. If fewer people respond to the survey than the reporting threshold, their results will not be thrown out. Instead, they will be rolled up into a larger group so that their opinions can be heard, but the individuals cannot be identified.
