Status Update - Summer 2025

In 2024, SAR has begin collecting usage and student retention data for the Learning Access Center (LAC). Data analyzation revealed the following:

  • Active students registered with SAR Center for 2024-2025 increased by 13%, providing the SAR Center the opportunity to serve 3,355 students.

  • LAC scheduled mentoring study sessions facilitated by our Learning Specialists increased by 9% for 2024-2025, with a total of 1,296 sessions.

  • LAC unscheduled drop-ins connecting with our Learning Specialists and team members soared to 1,283 visits.

The increase in activity at the LAC and the number of students registered with the SAR Center (a 13.9% increase in AY 2024–25) is the result of the SAR Center’s focused outreach efforts, including visits to ISDs in the DFW area and increased collaboration with campus partners.
