Overview

This initiative serves as a catalyst for transformative learning, civic engagement, and ethical leadership at UTA. We build a more just and equitable world by empowering students to translate knowledge into action and cultivate leadership for the public good.

Impact

Inspired by The Volker Alliance and aligned with the Carnegie Elective Classifications, the Public Service Academy promotes a meaningful public service and civic engagement journey.
This centralized hub aligns with the Carnegie Elective Classifications for Community Engagement and Leadership for Public Purpose, empowering students to become active citizens, build essential skills, and contribute meaningfully to the world.

Status Update - Summer 2025

The Public Service Academy (PSA) is designed to unify departments and colleges across campus to identify programs and initiatives that elevate the university's role in the community through academic excellence, discovery, and engagement.

The website launched Spring 2025, and the coordination of projects and initiatives will be ongoing.
