Develop compensation education initiatives to enhance the understanding of UTA’s compensation philosophy and provide education on pay transparency.

Impact

The benefits of providing education on our compensation philosophy and pay transparency:

  1. Employee trust and engagement is gained/increased.
  2. Supports critical recruitment and retention challenges.
    1. Increase in volume and quality of applicants if ranges are posted on jobs.
    2. Retention of employees due to knowledge that salaries are competitive.

Key Strategy 1: Deploy additional compensation tools.

  • Tactic: Develop an annual process to support our executive leaders with market-based compensation intelligence.
  • Tactic: Continue work on market assessment of job positions to ensure individuals are compensated at market rate.

Status Update - Summer 2025

Several initiatives to strengthen compensation, benefits, and employee support have been completed. These include launching a faculty rewards program, introducing new tools to promote wellness and wellbeing, and establishing an annual process to provide executive leaders with market-based compensation insights. Additionally, progress has been made on assessing job positions to ensure competitive, market-aligned pay.
