Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a state law requiring all Texas public institutions, including UT Arlington, to determine college readiness in Reading, Writing, and Math for all degree-seeking undergraduate students, both on campus and online. The TSIA2 is the name of the assessment test and is the measurement used to assess college readiness. You will be unable to register for classes at orientation if you are TSI Liable and have not assessed your college readiness. To learn more about your next steps for TSI, click the learn more button. To support students’ success in their math classes, UTA utilizes math placement assessment tests to determine your appropriate math placement. To ensure proper academic advisement for your degree, the math placement assessments must be completed prior to your academic advising appointment. Visit the Math Department website to learn more.
