Blaze Camp is UTA’s extended orientation experience, designed for students who want to go beyond the traditional orientation model and actively engage in their transition before the semester begins.


Through small-group, high-impact experiences, Blaze Camp allows you to:

  • Build meaningful connections before the semester begins
  • Develop leadership and life skills
  • Learn how to navigate campus resources and expectations
  • Gain confidence in your transition to college

Blaze the Change: Civic & Community Leadership

Find Your Voice. Make an Impact. Lead Beyond the Classroom.

Designed for first-time-in-college (FTIC) and first-generation students, this experience challenges you to see leadership beyond campus and step into your role as a change-maker. Through interactive simulations, real-world issue exploration connected to UTA and Arlington, and conversations with campus and community leaders, you’ll build the confidence to advocate, lead, and create meaningful impact—starting your first year.

Blaze the Resource: Navigate UTA

Learn the System. Find Your People. Start Strong.

Designed for first-time-in-college (FTIC) and first-generation students, this experience helps you confidently navigate UTA from day one. Through hands-on sessions, real-life scenarios, and connections with campus support, you’ll learn how to access resources, ask the right questions, and build a foundation for success—before the semester even begins.

Dates: Monday, July 13 - Wednesday, July 15
