Pantry Hours and Services

Location: 520 S Center St, Arlington, TX

Fall 2025 Hours of Operation:
Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 9AM - 3PM
Wednesday: 9AM - 3PM
Thursday: 12PM - 6PM
Friday: 9AM - 12PM

Summer 2025 Hours of Operation (through August 15, 2025):

Shop for food essentials, toiletry items, and school supplies for FREE with your MAV ID. Open to UTA students, faculty, and staff.

Shopping appointments are easy to make and are strongly encouraged.

PantrySoft

Hours of operation vary throughout the year. In between semesters, the Maverick Pantry often restocks requiring abbreviated services.

Food, toiletry, and school supply options vary based on donations received.

Additional Food Resources

Pocket Pantries

Running short on funds this week? Forget your lunch? Our Pocket Pantries provide UTA students non-perishable, grab-and-go food. Items are restocked weekly.

  • Heights on Pecan
  • Division of Student Success in Ransom Hall
  • COHNI Pickard Hall 220

Emergency Bags

Emergency bags of non-perishable food and toiletry items are also available in a variety of departments across campus. They serve as immediate relief for students when the Maverick Pantry is closed.

Emergency Bag Locations:

  • Dean of Students (CARE team and Student Conduct) at the University Center
  • Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) in Ransom Hall
  • Health Promotions and RVSP in Ransom Hall
  • Foster Care Office at the University Center
  • Vice President of Student Affair office at the University Center

The Tarrant Area Food Bank distributes food to pantries and other nonprofits across North Texas. Input your address in the link below, and you can locate food pantries nearby. Some pantries will also have rent & utility assistance, clothing, and other services available.

R.E.D. Bus

R.E.D. Buses provide resource assistance, nutrition education, and nutritious food to local neighborhoods in the Arlington and Fort Worth area with high levels of food insecurity. In addition, they facilitate the delivery of these resources through benefits enrollment (SNAP, CHIP, TANF, Healthy Texas Woman, WIC, and Medicaid) as well as emergency food relief. Students can click the link if they are interested and view their scheduled events.

Student Parent Resources

The Maverick Pantry supports our student parents with baby food, baby formula, bottles, bibs, diapers, wipes, blankets, small toys, and more! Appointments during pantry operating hours are highly encouraged.

Cap and Gown Reservations

Undergraduate students who are graduating from UTA and are experiencing financial need may be able reserve a cap and gown through the Maverick Pantry.

  • Reservations become available six weeks prior to the end of the fall or spring semester.
  • More specific information will be available here or on our Instagram page @UTAMaverickPantry.
  • Students are required to return items after graduation.
  • Supplies are limited.
  • Graduate regalia is not available.
