Student Health and Wellbeing Dashboard
Mav Well Survey
Beginning in the Fall of 2024, UTA administered a health and wellbeing pulse survey to all undergraduate and graduate students called the Wellbeing Improvement Survey for Higher Education Settings (WISHES). Known to UTA students as the Mav Well survey, this national instrument is comprised of a set of validated instruments assessing population wellbeing and educational outcomes, as well as student experiences that influence wellbeing.
In 2024-2025, UTA students were invited to participate in randomized groups over the course of the academic year. Results are disaggregated based on demographics, academic status, College, etc. This dashboard was created in partnership with the Texas Higher Education Collaborative for Wellbeing and ANEW. Over 5,500 students participated.
Measures of the WISHES survey are derived from several validated instruments, such as the Diener Flourishing Scale, the Kessler 6, and the UCLA Loneliness Scale. To review the results, click on the link below and log in using your UTA credentials.
