Navigating college life can be challenging—but you don’t have to do it alone. The CARE Team is made up of campus professionals who work together to support students through academic, emotional, psychological, and personal challenges. Our team collaborates across departments to ensure students are connected to the right resources and support.
Below is a list of the campus departments represented on the CARE Team.
Supporting student athletes through competitive sport programs, academic and wellness resources, and team based guidance, helping students succeed both on and off the field.
Supporting students in addressing mental health concerns, increasing self-awareness, and making positive life changes.
Providing crisis counseling, medical accompaniment, and referrals for victims of crime—no police report required.
Connecting students with academic support, advising, tutoring, and other resources to help them succeed and stay on track toward graduation.
Providing short term financial support to students experiencing unexpected hardships, helping with basic needs like housing, food, utilities, or other urgent expenses.
Providing on campus living options, community building programs, and residential support services to help students thrive in campus housing.
Ensuring equitable access to food and toiletry items for students, helping meet basic needs and support academic success.
Supporting our military-connected students through academic, personal, and career transitions with specialized resources and programs.
Supporting our international students with resources to help them succeed academically and personally.
Providing support, information, and guidance related to faculty and staff employment, workplace policies, benefits, and professional development.
The Office of the Dean of Students supports student success through its Student Outreach and Support and Community Standards units. Student Outreach and Support connect students with resources, advocacy, and assistance during challenging situations, while Community Standards promotes accountability and respectful behavior by educating students about the university expectations and addressing conduct concerns.
Students can report sexual or interpersonal violence, as well as discrimination or harassment, to this office—anonymously if needed. The office responds by providing information about reporting options, supportive measures, and resolution processes, whether or not a formal complaint is filed. The Title IX Office also offers prevention education and reporting guidance.
Fostering a safe, equitable environment where students can thrive free from sexual and relationship violence. The Confidential Advocate provides trauma-informed, victim-centered support for those affected.
Providing academic accommodations, assistive technology, and faculty support for students with disabilities.
Connecting students with over 300 registered clubs and organizations to explore interests, build community, develop leadership skills, and enhance their UTA experience.
Provides 24/7 law enforcement and campus safety services, including patrols, crime reporting, safety escorts, key control, and lost & found support for the UTA community. Contact them for emergencies, non-emergency safety concerns, or general campus security assistance.
The CARE Team can also connect students with local, state, and national resources. We encourage all to visit our Community Resources webpage for additional support options. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further referrals and assistance.
