Siddesh Basavraj Patil, MS
Data Analyst
Siddesh Basavraj Patil is a Data Analyst at the University of Texas at Arlington’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Development (CETD). In this role, he supports the operations team by centralizing backend data, building dashboards, and creating visualizations that enable more strategic decisions in innovation management and intellectual property processes. His recent work includes visualizing technologies based on categories and departments, analyzing law firm performance for patent filings, and maintaining CETD’s monthly innovation dashboard.
Before stepping into his current role, Siddesh served as a student ambassador for CETD, where he led EpICMavs sessions, promoted center initiatives, and delivered a seminar on "Why Data Science is the Future for Entrepreneurship." Prior to UTA, he briefly worked at Capgemini, supporting enterprise data systems and developing analytical tools for business needs.
His path into data and innovation was sparked during his undergraduate years in India, where a course in digital marketing opened the door to analytics and entrepreneurial thinking. With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in data science from the U.S., Siddesh blends technical rigor with a deep interest in startups and commercialization strategy.
He is an avid learner, especially fascinated by the stock market, and hopes to found his own startup someday, continuing his journey at the intersection of data, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
