Josue Melendez

Josue Melendez currently serves as the Community and Faculty Engagement Manager at the University of Texas at Arlington Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Development (CETD). Josue leads the Center’s programs and initiatives around entrepreneurship and technology commercialization.

Previously, Josue worked for Irving ISD as both an educator and truancy officer. There, Josue worked at the high school level to coordinate district-wide efforts to improve school attendance rates, enforce education codes, and perform community outreach. After a short time in banking and financial services, Josue began to pursue a career in the public sector where he remains.

Josue holds a BA in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Texas at Arlington. While at UT Arlington Josue focused on education policy, law and legal studies, and African history.
