Effective August 21, 2023, the Modern Language department implemented a new exam for modern language placement and course credit. For more information regarding the Avant exam, please visit the Department of Modern Languages website or email.

The requirement for modern language in a degree plan varies by department at UTA. Students should consult their academic advisor for answers to specific questions or the Undergraduate Catalog.
