TSI (Texas Success Initiative)

WHAT IS TSI?

Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a state law requiring all Texas public institutions, including UT Arlington, to determine college readiness in Reading, Writing, and Math for all degree-seeking undergraduate students, both on campus and online. The TSIA2 is the name of the assessment test and is the measurement used to assess college readiness.

TSI Complete: All TSI requirements are met, and no further action is needed.

TSI Not Complete: One or more sections of the TSI assessment were attempted, but developmental coursework is required based on the assessment results. Retesting is optional

TSI Liable: No documentation is available to determine your TSI status. Further action requires taking the test or providing an exemption.
