Each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday*
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
In-Person:
Check in at the Ransom Hall, 1st Floor Service Desk
Virtual:
- Appointments open 24 hours in advance (e.g., an 8 AM Wednesday slot opens at 8 AM Tuesday)
- Register online and check your confirmation email for the meeting link
*NOTE: Appointments are not available on Tuesdays or on the following NMO dates:

Access to the Self-Guided Academic Advising Short Course is available in Canvas!
Students advised in the Division of Student Success (freshmen, students that graduated high school in the last year, UT-CAP, & transfer students with less than 24 credit hours) need to complete a Self-Guided Academic Advising Short Course before registering for classes.
Why is This Important?
- Covers degree requirements, advising, registration, and credit verification
- Must be completed at least two weeks before your New Maverick Orientation
- Allows you to time to smoothly register for courses
The sooner you complete the Self-Guided Advising Course, the sooner you can register for classes!
How to Enroll:
Note: Access to the Self-Guided Academic Advising Short Course is available in Canvas!
- After accepting admission, you’ll receive an invite to a self-guided Academic Advising Short Course in Canvas.
- After completing the course, follow-up appointments with an advisor are required for the following student groups:
Students can also speak with an advisor at New Maverick Orientation. Follow-up appointments are optional for all other students.
