No, there’s no traditional application process for students who have enrolled at UTA. Applications are only needed for Summer Camp participants. Emerging Mavericks is a resource support initiative designed specifically to assist individuals who are alumni of foster care programs or are McKinney-Vento eligible. The services are available to support you throughout your time at the university.
You can schedule a 30 minute appointment by utilizing the QR code displayed on most marketing materials for an in-person, virtual or After 5 pm meeting with our staff. If you’re unable to do so please stop by our office and our staff will be happy to assist you with finding a convenient time.
Our office offers a wide range of resources to support you during your college journey. Our program provides support and referrals for your personal needs in academic advancement, career counseling, mental health, housing assistance, and financial management and guidance. We are dedicated to ensuring that students with experiences in foster care or homelessness have access to the tools and support they need to succeed academically and personally.

However, some Financial Aid scholarships or University housing options may have deadlines, and we encourage you to inquire about those separately from their designated departments here at UTA.
