Despite gray clouds and strong winds, UT Arlington broke ground on its new West campus in Fort Worth.
The University of Texas at Arlington on Friday announced that architecture firm HKS will design the first facility of UTA West and that Hensel Phelps will serve as the general contractor.
UT Arlington’s West Campus, set at I-30 and I-20 in Fort Worth, is expected to generate over $200 million in economic impact, said VP John Hall.

The new storefront will serve as a hub for community engagement, providing prospective students and families access to admissions, advising, financial aid and other essential services as construction of the UTA West campus begins.
