How to Register Your Occupants as a Leaseholder

In order to use the online housing portal, you will need your net ID and password issued to you by the Office of Information Technology (OIT). If you do not have or know your net ID or password, contact the OIT at helpdesk@uta.edu. Occupants must be registered on the lease before a key can be issued to them.

Below are the instructions to for registering your occupants through the Online Housing Assistant.

  1. Visit the Online Housing Portal

  2. Log in using your Net ID and password on the UTA Online Housing Portal home page

  3. Click “Apartment Application”

  4. Click on the “By-Unit Application” tab

  5. Select “Apartment By-Unit 2025-2026” and click “Save and Continue”

  6. If you have a renewal lease, you should choose “Apartment by Unit – 2025-2026 Renewal”

  7. Click on “Additional Occupant Management” from the list of options on the numbered menu to view or update your occupants.

  • Registered additional occupants must complete the Occupant 2025-2026 application in the Housing Portal prior to receiving a key.

  • Visit the Online Housing Portal

  • Log in using your Net ID and password on the UTA Online Housing Portal home page.

  • Click “Apartment Application”

  • Click on "Occupant Application"

  • Select “Occupant Application 2025-2026”

  • Complete steps until final confirmation
