Pi Sigma Alpha

Pi Sigma Alpha is the honor society for political science. UTA's Kappa Pi Chapter formed in 1980 and offers students the opportunity to network and engage beyond the classroom. We welcome all eligible students to join, including those outside of the Political Science major.  

Students are eligible to join provided they meet the following requirements:

Undergraduate:

• Complete at least 12 hours of substantive coursework in UTA Political Science courses
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA in UTA POLS courses

Graduate:

• Complete at least 9 hours of substantive coursework in UTA Political Science graduate courses.
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA in UTA POLS graduate courses

Membership dues are a one-time payment of $70 and include membership in the National chapter, local chapter, and access to special events.
