Student praticing marching band drills

Marching Band (Grades 9-12)

The UTA Summer Music Camps strive to provide each student an opportunity to work with and learn from the highest quality instructional staff from around the nation. It is our desire that each student return to their own group having grown musically and personally while at the same time enjoying all the fun and excitement of summer camp life.

Students practicing in choir

All-State Choir

The camp helps singers in grades 9-12 in their journey to the Texas All-State Choir and is a wonderful place to make new friends and experience the joy of making music together. This camp is appropriate for all choir students in 1A-6A Texas high schools; however, it will focus solely on the music for the “Large School” Texas All-State Chorus.

Principles of Engineering

Principles of Engineering Section 2 (Grades 9-12)

This camp offers a deep dive into the foundational concepts of engineering through hands-on projects and real-world applications. Participants will explore various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, civil, electrical, and environmental engineering, while engaging in collaborative problem-solving activities.

STARTALK: Trip to a Russian-Speaking Country

NSA-sponsored, free to students 3-week Russian immersion program for high school with no prior knowledge of Russian or at a low novice level. Through an engaging series of role-plays, this student-centered, content-based program will allow for mastery of basic literacy and communicative skills in Russian as well as prepare students for a variety of cultural and language situations through topics related to traveling to Russian-speaking countries (e.g., planning a trip, at the airport, at the hotel, sightseeing, visiting a host family, eating out, etc.). The program theme on traveling allows for real-life language use and creates engaging experiences for students. (This is not an actual trip. The program occurs on the UTA campus.)

Softball field

UTA Softball Camp

Camp will focus on developing the skills & fundamentals of the game of softball. Campers will work with the UTA coaching staff and current UTA student athletes on position specific work (including pitching & catching) and offensive drills. In addition, campers will have the opportunity to display their skills & learn through game-like simulations.
