Hero Compact

Component Overview

The Hero Compact is one of three components that you can get out of the 'Hero Full or Compact' component. This hero is the shortest hero that you can add an image to and have it appear on the site unobstructed (the Gradient Hero, while vertically shorter, adds a gradient over the top of the image).

The Hero Compact only has one field, and that's to add a photo or video. This component gets its copy from the Page Title and Page Description fields in the parent page.

Note that there is no component specifically called 'Hero Compact' in Sitecore. To get this component, you need to add the 'Hero Full or Compact' component.

How to Use

1. In the Page Content folder, locate and add the 'Hero Full or Compact' component
2. Ensure that your Page Title and Page Description are entered correctly in the parent page
3. Select your image
4. In the Details pane for the page in which you want to add a Hero Compact, navigate to the 'Hero' folder and select 'Hero Compact'
5. Point the Source field to your 'Hero Full or Compact' that you added earlier
