Featured News

Component Overview

The Featured News component displays five news articles. The articles can be either manually selected or automatically populated from a user-specified folder. If using the auto-population feature, the user can also select a Topic to filter the stories.

This component can only pull news articles that have been entered into Sitecore on the News Detail Page template.

How to Use

This component can only pull news articles that are entered on an News Detail Page template.

There are two ways to use the component - manually selecting the news stories, and using the component to automatically pull stories from a selected folder.

  1. Manual Selection mode
    1.  After adding the component to the Page Content folder, drill down to find your selected stories. Once you have your story selected, move it to the right pane.
  2. Automatically Populating mode
    1. After adding the component to the Page Content folder, select the parent news folder in the "News Folder" field.
    2. Optional: Select a Topic to filter the stories from the drop-down
