Working at UTA was my return to higher education, and it really felt like coming home. I never felt the same sense of community when working outside the higher education space. My leadership, team and departments I’m assigned to work with at UTA have welcomed me with open arms. We have something really special here!

I enjoy helping our departments solve their sourcing problems and challenges. Ensuring the Procurement team is delivering the best overall value while spending funds in the most efficient and effective manner possible is challenging and very rewarding. I believe anyone who applies themselves in service of their department and the campus community will have no shortage of growth opportunities across campus.

I have taken advantage of the many growth paths UTA offers. I started as a buyer for several departments on campus. After a couple of years, I was asked to start a new Strategic Sourcing group, which had not existed before. That change ultimately led to a promotion to Assistant Director for Procurement & Strategic Sourcing, from there I was promoted to Director of Procurement & Strategic Sourcing upon retirement of my predecessor.
