Jasmine Davis

Jasmine Davis, LMSW, is a first-year Ph.D. student in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Justice Administration from Wayland Baptist University and her Master of Social Work from UTA. Prior to starting her Ph.D., Jasmine gained experience in nonprofit and government settings and held leadership and therapeutic roles at a private practice.

Her research interests include the long-term impact of parental incarceration on children, caregiver experiences with memory-related illnesses, end-of-life care, and the systemic issues that lead to youth homelessness. As a 2025 Generation Justice Fellow with the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, Jasmine has worked with youth advocates and legislators in Texas and Washington, D.C. to push for more equitable housing policies.

She’s also passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and increasing access to care in her community. Outside of school, Jasmine loves trying new foods, crafting, and spending time with her loved ones.
