Herman Nuake Kofi Agboh

Herman is a Ghanaian and a registered member of the Ghana Association of Social Workers (GASOW). He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with Political Science and a Master of Philosophy degree in Social Work from the University of Ghana, Legon, where he also served as a Research and Teaching Assistant for five years in the Department of Social Work. Since then, Herman has worked as a Lecturer in Social Work at Methodist University Ghana and as a Senior Health Research Officer at the Catholic Health Service Trust, Ghana, the second largest healthcare provider. His work in health research has included contributing to national policy efforts, including the scale-up of the INTERGROWTH-21st Standards and Tools in Ghana, which focused on maternal and newborn health in the country. His research interests include telepsychiatry, substance use counselling, maternal depression, men’s mental health, and strengthening health systems in Africa. Outside work, Herman enjoys music, afro-latino dances, and volunteering for the Church.
