Blessing Ramsey-Soroghaye
Blessing Ngowari Ramsey-Soroghaye is a PhD student at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a passionate social work educator and researcher dedicated to driving positive change in women's health, gender equality, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For over four years, she has Lectured in the Department of Social Work University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria and has shown commitment to exploring critical issues such as studies on social work intervention in intimate partner violence, maternal and child healthcare, and social welfare services. Her research focuses on understanding the complex relationships between gender, health, and community development, with emphasis particularly on promoting women empowerment and well-being. With over four years of teaching experience and a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications, Blessing's work is making tangible impact. Her expertise spans intimate partner violence, health promotion, women’s health, social support services, and community development, and she is driven to contribute to the advancement of social work practice in Nigeria and beyond. Through her research and teaching, Blessing aims to inspire a new generation of social workers to prioritize women’s health/well-being, human rights, social justice, and community well-being.
Outside of her academic and research work, Blessing loves to take care of her amazing kids (Light and Grace), try out new cuisines, sing/record her songs and engage in community/voluntary services.
