Rebecca Roten

Rebecca RotenRebecca Roten is a graduate student and graduate research assistant at the University of Texas at Arlington, pursuing dual master’s degrees in social work (MSW) and public health (MPH). As a research assistant, she has contributed to several projects related to child welfare, including research on post-secondary education attainment for young adults with foster care experience and research on adverse childhood experiences among migrant children in China. Rebecca has also completed two social work field placements: she worked as an intern case manager at a local food pantry and as an organ transplant social work intern at a major hospital in Dallas, Texas. As a Child Welfare Scholar, Rebecca intends to further develop her skills as a researcher and her knowledge of issues in child welfare. She will contribute to the mission of the Child Welfare Research Center (CWRC) by continuing to engage in research projects that further our understanding of child welfare issues and inform interventions that support children and their families.
