The University of Texas at Arlington School of Social Work will celebrate the graduation of over 200 bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD in Social Work students during its summer commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at College Park Center.

As one of the largest social work schools in the country, the UTA School of Social Work trains students from across the United States and around the world to make a difference through distinguished programs offered both in person and online.

UTA Provost Dr. Tamara L. Brown will preside over the ceremony. Keynote remarks will be delivered by Madeline McClure, a UTA social work alumna and founder and CEO emeritus of TexProtects, a statewide advocacy organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect.

The ceremony will bring together School of Social Work faculty, staff, families, friends, and alumni to recognize the graduates’ dedication to public service and celebrate their milestone as the next generation of changemakers.

Following the ceremony, graduates and guests are invited to a reception at the UTA Social Work and Smart Hospital Building.
